WorkInSync is available on the Microsoft Teams marketplace, so it installs as a native app inside Teams rather than sitting alongside it as a separate tool.
What employees get
The embedded app offers full parity with the WorkInSync web app. Everything available in the browser is available in the Teams panel – Reserving a meeting room, ordering a meal, and managing other office resources.
Booking by chat
Alongside the app, there’s also a chatbot that handles bookings conversationally. Employees can reserve a desk or room by typing the request like “Book a desk on Monday at 9 AM” in Teams, without opening the app panel or navigating a floor plan. For anyone making the same booking every week, this is faster than any interface.
Single sign-on
WorkInSync supports SSO, so employees sign in with their existing corporate identity. No separate credentials to distribute, and access is removed automatically when someone leaves.
Why a microsoft teams integration changes adoption
Desk and room booking competes with everything else on someone’s morning. If it lives in a separate app, the friction makes employees skip that step.
Inside Teams, the booking happens in the same place as the conversation that prompted it. It simplifies the whole process by removing the extra steps, for example, someone agreeing to meet on Thursday reserves the room in just one or two clicks.
Deployment
As a marketplace app, rollout follows your standard Teams app deployment. Your Teams admin makes it available to the organisation, and employees access it from their app rail.
